A History Major at The Ohio State University, Colin comes from a family of educators across all grade levels and disciplines. Now married to a teacher with two young children, he spends his free time enjoying nature, playing with the family dog, or playing video games with his kids.

He has the industry knowledge, agility and capacity to keep pace with the growth and increasing complexity of the education landscape that enables the development of new technology solutions to support the educators and leaders on the front line of education. Frank has a long track record of successfully navigating new business opportunities while improving the rate of return from sales, marketing and R&D investments. Frank is skilled in the identification and understanding of market problems as well as the complex business strategies of mergers and acquisitions. Frank is an Industry Advisor to Warburg Pincus for the Education Market. Prior to 2019, Frank was SVP Business Development for Frontline Education, SVP Global Marketing and Strategy for SCT (Now Ellucian), SVP Sales and Marketing for DecisionOne, President of MAXIMUS Justice Solutions, and SVP of Sales for Schoolwires (now part of BlackBoard).

  • Kathy Hurley
Kathleen Hurley is a former senior executive for numerous educational publishing and technology companies, including IBM and Pearson. Currently, she is a senior advisor to educational technology companies, education associations, and school superintendent networks. She also serves on the board of directors for several non-profit and for-profit organizations. After retiring from Pearson, she was selected as a Fellow of the Advanced Leadership Initiative (ALI) at Harvard University. Upon completion of the program, she co-founded a global nonprofit organization, Girls Thinking Global, which has since merged with the Women’s Education Project (WEP), where she serves on the board of directors. WEP works with NGOs in India and Bangladesh to provide a highly effective, locally resourced, holistic program to help young, marginalized women become earners, leaders and changemakers in their communities.

In 2004, Kathy was inducted in the Association of Educational Publishers’ Hall of Fame and in 2019, she received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Education Technology from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). In 2022, she received the 2022 Founders Award from the National Coalition for Technology in Education & Training (NCTET), the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendent (ALAS), the inaugural Distinctive Mentor Award from the Education Research and Development Institute (ERDI) and the RTM Education Rock Star award. She is co-author, with Dr. Bobbi Kurshan of InnovateHERs: Why Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurial Women Rise to the Top, which was published in April of 2022 and she is co-editor, with Priscilla Shumway, of Real Women, Real Leaders: Surviving and Succeeding in the Business World (Wiley), published in 2015.

He is passionate about using technology to make a difference in education Andrew holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts in Economics. In his spare time Andrew enjoys baseball, mountain biking and spending time with his family.

  • Jeff Deuel
Jeff Deuel graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He worked as a Software Developer for USAA, focusing most of his career in the Java infrastructure space. He is a full stack Java developer with over 10 years of industry experience. He has experience developing in C#, C++, and various other scripting languages. He spent most of his time, while working at USAA, in the financial industry helping to optimize systems to allow for maximum throughput and availability. He serves as team leads and enjoys the coaching/mentoring side of the job. Some of his favorite experiences have come from time spent leading teams of college interns.

Jeff is currently working for Noom, a startup company in the health and wellness space, working to design and build out their billing system so that it can scale up as they grow globally.

  • Kathy Ward
Kathy Ward, a native Texan, is a graduate from the University of North Texas where she received a bachelor’s degree in Education. Kathy is an education consultant and a former morning drive time radio talk show cohost and now cohosts JP, Kathy & The Crew and Heart and Soul of Texas Women on the JPK Broadcast Network.
Kathy was appointed by Governor Abbott and is currently serving a six-year term as a commissioner on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Additionally, Kathy currently volunteers as an appointed member of the School Based Improvement Council for Plano Academy High School.

She was the first woman to be elected as a Collin County Republican Party Chairman. She served as the Texas Young Republican Federation Chairman and Vice Chairman and as National Committeewoman for the Young Republican National Federation. Kathy served as Collin County Commissioner and during her time on the Commissioners Court she focused on crucial issues such as transportation, healthcare, and mental health. She is a former Special Education Lead Teacher at Plano East Senior High where she also coached the Golden Girls drill/dance team. She is a former certified Dale Carnegie Leadership Instructor. Kathy is a graduate of Leadership Plano Class XIV, and served two terms on the Plano Community Relations Commission and was also a board member for Plano Youth Leadership. She cheered professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks Soccer Team. Kathy has volunteered for a wide variety of organizations over the decades including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Special Olympics and Boy Scouts of America. She is married to Michael Wiseman and considers her daughter and her son her greatest blessings.
